The senior classes went on trip to a coffee shop in Bray on Tuesday 14th of December. This was our first time to go out for a snack since March 2020! All staff and students were very excited and each class planned the trip carefully with Covid restrictions in mind. We decided to go to Finnbees, which is on the sea front. Joe rang a few days before to make sure that they would be able to accommodate a group of our size and we were delighted to discover that they had a ground level outdoor space and an upstairs terrace!
We looked at the menu in school so that we could calculate how much money we’d need. We also decided that we would walk to the sea front and return to school afterwards by bus.
It was a beautiful sunny, warm day and the walk was very pleasant. Finnbees wasn’t too busy and we could choose where we wanted to sit because there were lots of tables. The terrace was lovely because it had fantastic views of the sea front and of the beach.
We queued to order and pay for our food and everyone was happy because there was a good selection to choose from.
It was a great day out and everyone agreed that it was fantastic to be able to go out on trips from school again – we hope to plan another one in the New Year!
