In the lead up to the Six Nations Rugby Championship, students in Marino School have been participating in the Aldi Rugby Initiative. They have been collecting stickers to fill the wall chart in the GP Hall.
In previous efforts the students have won rugby equipment as part of their participation. The prizes have included bibs and tag ruby flags and belts. Last week, to kick off the Ireland’s first match against Wales, the senior classes participated in a modified rugby match during their Friday afternoon P.E. session.
Making great use of the rugby tag equipment, the students enjoyed a fun and inclusive session of tag rugby. The friendly match was a great way to show support for the Irish team as well as encouraging the students to be active while promoting the importance of fitness in Wellbeing Education.
Good luck to Ireland in the Six Nations!
