Marino Community Special School underwent a Supporting Safe Provision of Schooling (SSPS) Inspection for COVID-19 and Child Protection compliance on Monday the 26th April 2021. This Covid Protocol Inspection was undertaken by the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Skills. The final report from the Department of Education, is published above.
During the Inspection, the Inspector checked all relevant Covid Response Planning paperwork, Child Protection documentation, interviewed staff on aspects of our Covid planning and Child Protection procedures and visited all classrooms, including both isolation rooms and other areas created specifically to meet Department of Education and Skills requirements during the pandemic.
The Inspection feedback is that the school is fully compliant with all statutory obligations.
The whole school community was highly praised for the detailed preparations undertaken in accordance with Department of Education and National Public Health guidelines, to facilitate a safe return to school for our students and also the commitment of the Board of Management to ensure a safe learning and working environment for all. The inspector warmly congratulated staff and students on their positive engagement in the Covid-19 safety protocols and the sustained efforts to ensure a safe school community at this time. I would like to thank our parents/guardians for their continued support as we work collaboratively to keep our school community as safe as possible.
