The students in Marino School were delighted with the arrival of the new tennis equipment.
Many thanks to the efforts of the Student Council after the great work they did surveying the students, researching and costing all the equipment and finally sending a written proposal to Oonagh. The response to the new equipment has been overwhelmingly positive and, as a result, the students have decided to form a tennis club which will be run along side the current football club which runs during lunch breaks in the GP Hall.
As you can see from the photos, we have a number of different students participating and some are new members to the lunch club set up. The tennis club is open to all students of all abilities and we are hoping to attract more players!
As part of our Physical Educational Programme, the students will get the opportunity to work on their basic tennis skills and learn the rules of the game.
We look forward to seeing all the tennis players develop their skills in the coming months!
