On behalf of the Board of Management of Marino Community Special School, I would like to welcome you to our school website. The Board of Management acts on behalf of the patron, Enable Ireland Services, and in accordance with the regulations of the Department of Education and Skills. The Board performs as one unit in terms of its function in addressing the business of the school. The Board of Management in Marino School is committed to the further development of programmes and initiatives, as we work to enable each student to achieve their full potential.
The partnership between Marino School and Enable Ireland Services strengthens the on-going development of our school throughout the years. Marino School welcomes the engagement of other services providers to support the clinical needs of students, and endeavours to achieve a collaborative working relationship with staff, parents and clinical teams, in the best interests of students.
Collaboration with our local community in Bray has always been a priority for Marino School over the years. The school enjoys many links with both special and mainstream schools locally. The unwavering support of the Bray Community for our school has endured through the decades since 1956, without whom the many developments of specialised equipment and facilities for our students would not have been possible.
I want to thank my fellow Board members for their continued commitment and support. I also wish to acknowledge the range of work being undertaken in our school and to appreciate the huge contribution that staff make to this work.
I wish also to thank the parents for their continued work and commitment to our school community.
Best Regards,
Mai Byrne
